Absolutely one of the best series of the year as well as the decade so far, and the best Star Wars content in a while. Before the show was first released, I could already tell that this was gonna be something completely different in a very good way. Hence, I had high expectations. My oh my, it really went beyond my expectations. Every aspect of this show was very well put together. The cast, directing, writing, characters, cinematography, action sequences, music, costumes, production & set design, and acting, THEY'RE ALL OUTSTANDING. Every actor did great but I have to highlight Diego Luna, Stellan Skarsgård, Andy Serkis, Denise Gough, and Fiona Shaw for making it all even greater. Thanks to everyone involved in this project <3 CAN'T WAIT FOR SEASON 2!
Ok, this is the first HoTD episode that made me cry TWICE! First, obviously, it's when Daemon picked up Viserys' crown. But something about Alicent and Rhaenyra raising a toast to each other was just so emotional. Perhaps, because it's been such a rare thing to see, and after "Driftmark", I would've never expected that to happen. Sadly, that would be the last time, thanks to the misunderstanding.
Hats off to Paddy Considine for giving one of the best performances of the entire Game of Thrones universe. Once again, the dynamics between Olivia Cooke and Emma D'Arcy were such a delight to see. And as expected, Ewan Mitchell didn't disappoint. His mannerism as Aemond is just so great. The way he fights, talks, walks, and stares are so captivating. Also thankfully, Eve Best was finally given another chance to shine, we need more Rhaenys scenes!!!
