This is better than Episode 9, certainly. There are some nice interactions between Michael and his son and Gob's story is funny. The element I didn't enjoy was the Tobias story which just feels very forced and unnessecary. David Cross is a great comic actor, but he is given nothing to work with and no one to play off but his uninteresting son and his 'girlfriend', a character I've never really liked and always found just a little sad. Better, but not great.
This was not a particularly promising start. There are a few funny jokes (the Gob bit in the 'on the next' segment is funny and there is a nice joke involving George Michael and protestors at his company), but overall this episode is pretty dull. It is just focusing on the same dull storylines that have been going on since the Netflix revival like Fakeblock and The Rebel-Michael-George Mheiress love triangle, they've just gone on too long! Pretty dull overall.
What a dissapointing show Arrested Development has become. In this particular episode there is not a single funny joke. The plot just meanders on with scene after pointless scene. It is sad how they try to bring out old jokes like 'Mrs Featherbottom' and 'Anne Who?' to make you feel nostalgia. All it makes me feel is I wish I was watching the old show instead. Such a shame, a once great show reduced to something so dull. And that is the cardinal sin of the revived Arrested Development, it is just so boring.
