I believe that if this wasn't a remake of a great classic movie and was its own movie entirely people wouldn't be this cynical. I didn't try and take it too seriously and as a result, I found it to be a lot of fun. Anne Hathaway was great (I never say that)

This is actually pretty well done! Story was engaging and the premise was creepy!

I consider myself to be an avid found footage watcher. I usually never take the time to write reviews. Recently, I have found myself scraping the bottom of found footage film barrel trying to watch movies I haven't yet seen (I blame covid for all this free time).
While this movie started slow and the characters are extremely irritating, there is a period of about 40 minutes where this movie gets really creepy. I would recommend this If you're looking for something to watch from the ff genre and like me, you're running low on options.
Overall, I recommend it for a fun scare. Don't take the acting, script and dialogue seriously though, you'll just get frustrated.
