I enjoyed the series at first despite the young, new actors being very annoying and irritating for my liking. I continued to watch the series with hopes that each episode would create a concept with coercion that works. I'm let down with this series each week as the storyline goes off the rails or steers from the main objective here. Characters and people don't fit the narrative, the 60's aren't really just that, scenes don't fit the era. I watched up to episode 5 and stopped watching midway through when it just jumps the shark in this episode all together. I've had enough of shows filling spaces and not knowing what to do with the story.
Sorry, in the minority here. This felt like a combination of a poorly done Saw movie mixed with Silence of the Lambs overtones. You can see where it's going to end up from the start, so obvious for anyone with half a brain. There are so many loose ends and things that don't make sense. The concept is just stupid. A guy needs to be a better father. You see him not pick up his child a couple times, but not much else of his character besides a couple phone calls. Terrible character development. This was so dull and lacks any type of imagination to me. Pure laziness.
I expected this great horror movie, I was sadly disappointed. Some "horror" movies have no plot but have disturbing events with gross and weird scenes with jump scares that people really enjoy and put those at the top of their list as best, that's this movie. This movie falls into the boring with no plot type of horror movie for me. This movie Leaves so many unanswered questions. I was not impressed at all with this one, rather dull and thoroughly let down by the whole Weapons title, it meant absolutely nothing at all. Children running with their arms out was never answered and it made zero sense and was not answered. Where was this movie going? I should have skipped this one.
