It is an epic not in terms of storyline or cast or scale of production but in terms of sheer emotions and storytelling where food is a central character..refreshing & tempting both...Story rather simple unfolds like a full 6-7 course dinner with various layers emotions. It is not atypical comedy but a feel good movie. Hats off to cast and crew for bringing such an experience which is realist yet engrossing and entertaining. Somali Kulkarni is at her best and a role itself is a kind of lifetime role. Siddharth complements perfectly well. Dialogues are too good. .It is a treat o watch...Go taste it...This gulabjam will not add to sugar count but will be definitely be a worth an experience.
Making such a movie needs courage and choosing it as a debut and pulling it off so well needs standing ovation for Subodh Bhave its director..Superb start cast comprising veteran Sachin Pilgaonkar and others Mrunmayee,Subodh, Amruta etc are simply superb in their roles..Sakshi is as dependable as well and Shankar Mahadevan could not have chosen better movie to show his acting...He fits like T in Panditjis role..Story is gripping and songs add a different dimension to take experience at a level not experienced earlier..Music is top class to say the least.Overall a visual treat..Even those who do not know Marathi but understand Hindi can follow it well as high percentage of dialogues are Hindi/Urdu.
