  • Watching this post covid in 2025... absolutely garbage writing

Absolutely horrible character development and writing. I have no idea what the hell was going through the writers', Alex and David Pastor, head. But as i can see their career hasnt flourished and i can see why.

The first 20 mins are littered with possibly the dumbest people known to mankind. Do not watch, even it was for free.

  • Whats the opposite of comedy? Has Netflix destroyed true filmmaking?

Im an 80s kid. I grew up watching and loving all of Sandlers films. They had a certain touch and connection where comedy was really being defined and gaining traction. Most of his films still hold ground today but this was horrifically bad. The one liners and cameos were just hard to watch. Those "jokes" couldnt even hold its own back then let alone in todays era. Comedy has evolved so much but whos to blame?

Ive been watching how this unfolds for quite some time and i really think its Netflix and their ability to throw 100s of millions at anything. Where i first noticed this was stand up comedy. Netflix would pay tons for a comedian and if they did well they would contract them for X amount of shows in a short amount of time. So these guys would get paid tons but had to push content out quick. Result? Rushed, untested material which just lead to horrible productions. All my favorite comedians pushing out bad performances for money.

Now this...anyone that watched this and watched part 1 knows this was 100% rushed, filled with friend favors for roles and just plain old trash jokes.

Bring back the days where you had to work for content and not just throw cash just to throw it out there.

Still a Sandler fan, just hope he goes back to being the Sandman.

  • Who funded this and thought this was good?

I cant wrap my head around on how someone read this script and wrote a check to fund this (sony/screen gems is notorious for distributing horrible films).

Written and directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson (she co-wrote Thor Love and Thunder, ill leave it at that), this film is absolutely horrid. Typical early 2000s writing. No creativity and pretty predictable with zero suspense. I feel like they just copied and pasted most of the originals.

Direction wasnt that bad, cinematography was decent and acting was as good as it could get given its script.

Do not pay. Dont even try to stream it!!!!!!
