I came across this show recently via YouTube. I've been closely watching Mr Pryor's work for a few weeks now. I'm no spring chicken. I'm 63 and have always loved him. But, as is my way, I've become obsessed with him only recently. I thought I've been alive for the last 63 years, but I've never been as alive as when I watched this show! How could I have missed this? It may not pass today's PC police (though it most certainly should!), but it's unrelentingly brilliant. No, it's not pure Richard Pryor (for that see Live and Smokin'), but it's wonderful in every way. John Belushi, briefly. The amazing LaWanda Page, of Sanford and Son fame. Robin Williams, very briefly. A beautiful sketch based on the words of Langston Hughes. Maya Angelou. Maya f<^king Angelou! A bunch of cute kids singing and dancing, which should have been corny but brought a flood of tears to my ugly face. I can't say enough about this amazing, unlikely TV show, so search for better reviews, or just watch it.
