This is that favorite episode of a sitcom that I watch from start to finish even though I have seen it a million times over the years. I loved the writing and the way Chandler was featured with classic comedic dialogue.
This is the MASH episode that I make an effort to watch every time around that it is repeated. I learned, from serving military time in that part of the world, about the big difference in time compared to my home time zone in Mississippi. From Guam, we watched the Super Bowl live, starting around noon on Monday. In the European theater, the start time for the Super Bowl was around midnight in most countries. I mostly watch the early episodes of this sitcom, before the cast changes, because I liked the chemistry between Trapper, Hawkeye and Henry Blake more. This sitcom started when I was a junior in high school in September 1972.
This is that 'favorite sitcom' episode that I watch from start to finish, even though I've seen it a million times before. I even record it to make sure I don't miss it every time around that it is repeated. I saw it the very first time it aired back in January 1973, as a junior in high school, and it was probably the first time I heard the Jackson Five, still fresh as an entertainment act and extremely popular at the time, mentioned on a sitcom.
