When I heard GDT was taking on the Frankenstein project, I instantly knew it would do justice to the original. The opening scene, immediately sucks you in with an amazing, dark and gloomy cinematic view of the impending horror to come. The acting is superb and I think it's safe to say that this film is destined to be a classic.
It's been a while since I wrote a review on here but after seeing the lack luster reviews, I just couldn't resist... This was an amazing indy film with an outstanding performance by Cosmo Jarvis and a great supporting cast... This film truly touched my heart and will stay with me for a long time to come. Some of the haunting scenery was also a huge plus which was filmed entirely in Ireland. I only wish I would've heard about this film sooner and I'll probably watch it again with someone I care about... Please don't let the negative reviews ruin what could be an amazing movie experience for you.
I just watched Wolf Man and I actually liked it. I'm guessing the negative reviews are from one dimensional people who can't invision another scenario other than the ones fed to us since the original Wolf Man movie in 1941. I thought it was a good spin on this film, just like the one in The Invisible Man, done by the same director. Most people thought the twist on The Invisible Man was terrific so I'm surprised most didn't feel the same about this film. The acting was on point and Julia Garner we terrific as usual. I suppose this film will be left in the category of, " You just can't please them all."
