Man, I really didn't care for this one that much. Maybe it's because the story of A Christmas Carol has been played out so many times, but there wasn't anything "value-add" with Scrooged.

Bill Murray's Frank is so unlikable for 95% of the movie, that the redeeming finale falls flat.

There is a lot of talk today about remakes and reboots, specifically about how they are unnecessary. I would like to add Scrooged to that list.

The music is fun, the characters are cheery (other than the perfectly named Burgermeister Meisterburger) and the message is clear. It's magical to see the influence that one small act of kindness can have on another.

Now, this movie is no Klaus but it is a timeless classic that I love revisiting.

Why do Adam Sandler movies make me cry? This movie has some hilarious moments, but I can't get through it without tearing up during the third act.

One of my sons is 5 years old right now (Boston) and Julian reminds me of him. From the way he looks to the way he talks, they could be twins. So when Julian says, "I won't play the kangaroo song anymore!" it absolutely wrecked me.

Big Daddy isn't Adam Sandler's best film, but it sure does have a lot of heart.
