It's a pure action entertainer with a perfect first half, followed by a decent second half. Except for the car chase sequence and the final action sequence, it was lit. I'm not saying those were bad, but they pushed the limits of physics and logic to the extreme. Other than some minor issues in the screenplay, I thought it was a pretty good movie. Personally, I loved watching the movie in a houseful theater. I don't know if it will be the same when it comes out on digital platforms, so go watch it in theaters. Not having high expectations will also help you enjoy the movie better. Can't wait to see the next installments in the LCU🔥🔥
One should watch this movie just to experience the music in it. Vidyadagar's composition is that powerful in this movie. Great Script, direction, cinematography and acting. However, the factors which made this movie one step behind being a classic are the unnecessary characters by Jagdeesh and Jagadhi. I felt some of their scenes was an obstacle for the flow of the movie. There were also unnecessary fight sequences just to show the mass of Mohanlal. If we can forget these two elements of the movie then I feel it's an all-time classic.
Like Drishyam 1, this movie also starts slow in order to set the stage. The first half is purely dedicated for that and it might make you feel the movie is lagging, but it pays off in the second half. The brilliance in the script is the highlight of this movie. The performance of the core actors were great. Music was alright not the best. Cinematography was basic maybe it's because this movie doesn't require much of moving shots. I don't know how much of one part of the plot twist is practically possible otherwise those are lit. Again if you have enough patience and you liked Drishyam, you'll definitely need to watch this masterpiece.
