I had heard that this movie was very sad and for that reason I almost chose not to watch it. However once it became available for free on one of my streaming services I decided to go for it. I am so glad I did.

This movie is a beautiful blend of comedy, love and loss, and learning to live again. Tom Hanks is brilliant as Otto and his supporting cast are very good as well. By the way, there is sadness as well but such is learning to live again. In my opinion this movie is Tom Hanks best.

If you have passed this one over for whatever reason, I encourage you to give it a try. I will watch it again just in case I missed something from A Man Called Otto.

Samuel L Jackson is on of my favorite actors and I thought I had seen all of his movies until I found this one. This movie has everything that a person would want from a movie. Comic scenes. A thrill a minute. Full of surprises. Samuel himself said in a interview that this was his favorite out of all the movies he has been in. This is now one of my favorite Samuel L Jackson movies. In addition is one of the best movies that I've seen period. If you ever seen The Long Kiss Goodnight, you owe yourself to watch. Forget what other reviews said as far as negative reviews. This is a great movie. I'm a movie enthusiast and have watched thousands of them. Watch this movie and see for yourself.

What a sad and horrible story ! I feel sorry for the little girl who was molested and murdered and for her family. I feel sorry for George Franklin's family. He was a very bad man. However I cannot believe that a jury of twelve convicted him of the murder of the little girl based on the recovered memories 20 year's after the fact by Elaine one of his daughters. Memories by the way that continued to change throughout the legal process.
