So glad I just dove into this series after accepting Handmaid's Tale is really over.
How some reviewers question the budget or Moss' performance is beyond me. In fact, in episode 6 (the finale) my partner and both looked at each other and said, "Wow, she really is an incredible actor." We were surprised by how much we loved this series bc we'd skipped over it a couple years when it didn't make above a 7 on IMDB.
That now seems impossible bc anything below 6 just isn't fathomable.
Great script/plot, great action, mystery & drama, great cinematography, and fantastic casting & acting. I also got a kick out of the costume team incorporating a red dress in a shade nearly identical to the red robe we already know so well on Ms. Moss.
I really can't understand why this series isn't clicking a 7.5 or higher.
Doesn't seem like there will be another season but I wish there was.
Marketing for this series wasn't great ... kinda how 'Enlightenment' flew under the radar until receiving a new push earlier this year.

Great cast, great acting, great messaging. Unless Dern isn't interested, is a 3rd season totally out of the question? I mean...what happens to Tyler's relationship, does Amy find love, who scoops the hard drive (Molly?), do Krista & Amy reconcile, and what about mom? Or how about all the basement workers!?! So many storylines!
This series was on my watchlist for a few years after I saw the first episode. Maybe I didn't keep going at the time because Amy (Dern) hit so close to home. I felt like I was looking in the mirror ant times and it made me a little uncomfortable.
But fast forward and I'm sooo glad I finished every episode after HBO MAX splashed-up a reminder. The poetry of season 2 is also beautiful and really hits home. I love that there's a little bit of each character in me or someone I love. Even the rebuttals from "Corporate" include nuggets I couldn't 100% disagree with.
The series made me laugh, cry, think and feel. AND it made me see Laura Dern in a whole new light - what a bada**!

Contrived, fake, disingenuous, embarrassing, not funny, not even entertaining, lackluster performance by Fox from start to end. Even attire was off - nothing felt comfortable or natural. It's not often I can't se a Netflix comedy let alone anything with Jamie Foxx through to the end. But this was absolutely awful. From the very beginning there were overacted dramatics that just felt so unbelievable. Maybe I'm wrong; maybe it's hard to believe his truth when his acting in the character of other personas feel so much more credible. When compared to his other performances - which aren't even biopic, 3 stars is EXTREMELY generous.
