  • A very experimental boring show.

It's a okay show. Plot is good and the actors are great but it's so boring. These type of formats don't work for shows. The long shot is okay for films but for shows is just unnecessary. The episodes are so long and just slow and boring. You don't need to pay attention to get what's going on as they literally don't cut anything. This plot would have been great in a different format. Law and order literally has mastered the crime genre. Nobody needs to see the unnecessary cuts of booking someone or the long conversations between people that don't bring anything to the plot.

That said, love the feel, actors are amazing and it's very well filmed but I just can't. I found myself bored and unnecessary drained from all the useless Information.

  • Trashy, and it really shows the state of Hollywood.

I came in with great positivity after watching the Oscars and seeing the "Indie" film that swept the Oscars. I watch The Substance, and I was like no way, Anora must be insane.

Nope. This movie is utter trash and literally what's wrong with Hollywood. There is no artistry whatsoever and If you have to find deep meaning after watching it on the reviews then it's a terrible movie.

The plot is not a romance but soft porn. In no way I thought this was Pretty Woman, it was so tasteless and there is really no plot or point to this movie.

We know nothing about Anora, no backstory, no why she is doing this, only that she likes what she does and she is a terrible person as well. I fell nothing for her character. Ivan is a terrible character and I felt nothing for him either. Maybe I felt something for Igor, but not really.

The writing is awful, the lines are horrible. I thought we had evolved as a society. The directing is bad, the lighting is bad, the editing is bad. I was impressed when the director won all of this because I was like, man he worked hard but he should have hired someone because it shows in this utterly bad movie.

The acting is also terrible, Mark is unwatchable. He is terrible, Mikey is okay but definitely did not deserve the Oscar. All she does during the whole movie is get naked and scream in a bad New York accents.

Save your time and don't watch this trash, if you have kids avoid this. I can't believe movies like this get awards. Then again it shows that you really can buy Oscars.

  • A very light movie with awesome visuals

I don't get the hate, it's a great movie with amazing CG and great for families and kids.

The plot is simple, it is a story about a girl who looses her family in a post apocalyptic world where robots are the enemy. She discovers that one of the robots turns out to be her dead brother. What's not to love? Usually not a big fan of Millie but she pulls it off and doesn't bother me at all. Her range is great, I felt for her character. Same with Chris, I find that lately he's in everything but he sold the character and I felt for him too. It's a simple plot, nothing complicated about it but nothing confusing either, it's light and it's perfect for a Saturday movie with the family.

Onto the CG, it's the most beautiful CG I've seen all year. Great job to all the artists. It's the first time in a while that I don't see CG being overshadowed by crazy weather or darkness. It's very clean and just insanely beautiful. Nothing bad about it.

Editing, music and writing is great. It's not the Godfather but I don't want to watch the Godfather with my kids on a Friday night. It's a great movie for everyone, a bit long but I'm a sucker for long new movies that aren't remakes. Keep it up Netflix, you got a winner on this one . 9/10.
