  • Underrated emotional and powerful depiction of 9/11

I really don't get the negative reviews. The movie starts with some background into the characters and delves a bit deeper into those during the movie. I started to identify with each and sat on the edge of my seat encouraging them to escape. Although a bit slow at times, and mostly filmed in an elevator, the build-up of the fear and personal closeness in the characters combined with their determination to survive was riveting to watch. There is some action and scenes in other locations to keep the pace going. Solid performances by Whoopi Goldberg, Charlie Sheen and all the other cast makes this a must watch. The ending sealed the deal for me, I won't spoil it but it's in my opinion the most emotional part.

  • More Star Trek than Discovery

There have been a few times when I watched this show where I forgot I was watching The Orville. It has the true spirit of Star Trek written all over it. It's a bit more tongue in cheek, yes. But it has heart and portrays in-depth and heart felt stories. I watched the first episode of ST Discovery and still haven't gotten around watching the second, I'm just not that into it. Full of virtue signaling BS and it doesn't "feel" like Star Trek. I hang out for every new episode of The Orville, it is THAT good. Do your self a favor and watch this instead of Discovery if you want that real old feeling of Star Trek. A must!
