Firstly I'd just like to say that this show is visually amazing, they've really outdone themselves.
But the most important thing in any show really is the plot, and even though I like it, and if you're not a harcore Tolkien fan this is very good, I believe it's missing alot. Most of what they did, they did right, but there's so many small details, and sometimes BIG details that they either ignore or just miss. Like the elves, who even though I believe they're beautifully done, the way they interact with eachother is not very faithful to the books, like how they talk to Galadriel, who's one of the oldest and most important elves at this time, how they seem to be a very hierarchical society when in reality they're really not at all, and many other things.
I also think, contrary to a lot of people, that they've actually rushed atleast the second half of the season. They skipped SO MANY important details in the relationships between characters, which I will not spoil, but in the book are very much deemed important. Especially in the last episode, where they did what could be an entire season in just one episode, making it look like just a day's events when in truth it was very important and critical plot that sets the tone to the rest of the story.
But again, it is very hard to work when they don't have the rights to the silmarillion and so I don't know if much of what I've said was done in order not to break any copyright material. So because I don't know how incredibly hard writing a story in those conditions might be, I do appreciate and acknowledge their work, and I believe they've actually done quite good at a task many would deem impossible.
So yeah, it's worth a watch.

Many people think it to be boring or slow, but i did not in any way, actually I found it hard not to watch the next episode when I finished one. The camera work for me was fantastic, it really helped to immerse into the story.
Some people say some of it might be cliché and the plot condescending and I can't disagree, but I found it so captivating still, don't ask me why. The acting is superb, and that is not refutable.
The ending is quite anticlimactic, not the verdict, which I found to be extremely believable and fair given there was literally no evidence, but the actual ending - I don't know I just felt like it didn't stay I line with the rest of the plot.
As for the show overall, if you like a good drama, like me, you're going to get drawn into it like there's no tomorrow, and I really don't think it was slow at all. But sill, if drama's not your cup of tea, it might no be for you. It has some mistakes, some plot things that bug me, but I cannot in my righ mind give it any less than a 7.5 for all the rest.

I don't know why it's only a 7.6, or why the other review says it's a 5, but for me, this episode is actually among the best they made. Maybe it's because afghanistan is so overused on this type of shows, but that's exactly why I liked it. They took this concept of a mission in afghanistan or whatever that most crime shows end up having, and they made it their own, this isn't really the good against the bad, as much as it is the good in the bad, and the bad in the good. I really liked it, but that's my opinion.
