The four main actors i thought had really good chemistry and were funny, I'm surprised by the reviews being focused on how 'bad' the actors are, the issues with the series are definitely not the cast. It's daft and crude for sure and may not be for everyone but its a good laugh, not everything has to be so serious. I wasn't keen on the Sean Penn side of it and how that fitted into the storyline, he just seems insufferable and I don't believe the man knows how to take the p*ss out of himself even if its written in a script, he seemed very out of place
I would recommend if you just want an easy laugh.
The films and tv shows do tend to have a bland grey look to them on Apple tv, a bit lifeless and artificial. For a big production like this you need everything to be top notch. HBO should have stuck with it even if it meant a smaller budget, the creators should not have gone with Apple. It cuts corners and it shows. The writing and story structure is not all there, characters are not memorable and the lead actors seem like they are going through the motions. Some of the more unknown actors do a better job. Austin and Callum I don't think we're the right fit to lead this, they have been better in other things, I don't find Callum particularly a likeable screen presence but perhaps ive not seen enough of his work. Some of the accents are all the over the place you can tell the cast are mostly British and Barry's Irish accent comes through with every other word he says, was a bit cri

I thought the effects were fine tbh there's a lot worse out there, it just needed a bit of warmth and life to the cinematography. The opening credits are so bad, so over the top and cheesy I had to skip after first few eps. The music is trying to hard. The whole production feels like it's trying too hard. I would say I am enjoying it and its not exactly bad, but it's not as good as it should be.

I feel for the actors who get put into these terrible films they look cheap, edited badly, tonally all over the place.
The script wasn't all that bad but it was just all very lifeless and the cast were mismatched. The main actress was a bit over the top it was like she was in a whole other film, the main actor looked like he was going to fall asleep any minute. Questionable voices, accents and personalities from everyone else it was like a cartoon England, but that's pretty standard from films made with American money.
Surprised to see the credits of the director expected it to be by someone with less experience.
I've watched better films on Pluto romance.
