The books were written as a psychological quagmire and its a mystery to me that they attained the status they did as best sellers. I had the cast of the movie in my mind as I read the book and thought it might work if it was done well. The casting is spot on, however the editing of the movie is choppy and the story is very chaotic. It's supposed to be British and charming but I find it totally wanted. A Gang of Four pensioners who have unlimited resources including access to pharmaceuticals and ammunition's in a retirement complex isn't likely, given the state of the NHS.
