Its a remake, so I have compared this to the original, not that it would help this dire movie if I didn't 😀.
The original is such a classic, full of atmosphere that cranks up the tension and impending threat, good acting and creepy effects. This was awful.. no spooky atmosphere and suspense at all, awful acting, crap effects.
It is an empty shell of a movie at every level.
A movie that is a classic, needs no remake. This attempt is proof of that.
Maybe if the producers had attempted a sequel, that would have been a better plan. But that still would not escape how badly assessmbled this movie is, I was disappointed but also no surprised.

I thought the last one was crap but this exceeds it on the crap ratings. That's it for me, no more just end the franchise. It doesn't even feel like a Scream movie, they've always been a bit quirky with a bit of humour but this sucks big time. Also the movie without Sidney Prescott does not work at all considering the whole Scream saga is bound so closely with that character. It was so over the top in the kill scenes like ridiculous stuff is Ghostface now the Terminator. I wouldn't recommend this to any true Scream fan if you do try you were warned. Time to call it a day with these movies they were great fun but Hollywood has turned them into a***.
