I really liked the show when it first came out but the acting and storylines have progressively gotten worse over time.

I hate Jill Scott's acting but I love her (and I appreciate plus size representation) so I continue to watch.

Deborah Cox's acting is horrible. I hope her storyline ends very soon.

I hate giving the show a bad review or low rating because I'm so glad to have this representation on screen but I really hope that future seasons, if there are any, focus more on storylines and improved acting.

Love Gary and Bre's relationship and was very happy to see the new romantic relationship involving Jayla.

I love everything about this series. I haven't read any of the books but the plot was great, the acting was great, the directing was great... I loved all of the imagery and colors and angles from which the series was directed. I'm totally invested in every character and cannot wait for more seasons! I love everything about this series. Ugh. Worst lead actor and actress. I love Hallmark movies but some are really great and some are really bad. This one was cringe-worthy although I did watch it until the end but that's just my personality. The two leads were incredibly awkward together. I feel like the characters were supposed to be a little awkward with one another but this just felt like extreme awkwardness and bad acting. There were so many pauses in the dialogue that I think I spent 75% of the movie rolling my eyes. A couple of the other actresses could use some acting lessons as well I think. Not every actor is meant to be a lead.
