It's not an episode for everyone. I think for the most of it, it was the most confusing thing I've ever watched. But it shouldn't be reviewed as a standalone because it's obviously a vital part of a whole. And we can't really judge its quality before we've seen the whole series 13.
It was very well-acted, props to all actors.
Good job on the weeping angels, Chibnall really managed to make them extra creepy and scary which makes me really excited for the next episode.
New confusing details are being introduced which is making it kinda hard to keep track of. I would most definitely need a rewatch and a sheet of paper to take notes.

I cannot describe how happy I am that Chibnall's writing has finally taken turn for the better.
This has been the first episode since the two-parter in season 4, that made the Sontarans threatening again. Their design - so much better than anything we've seen in NuWho until now. A negative point would be that the Sontarans have been written stupider than ever. But we can looks past that due to the fact that they've never been the brightest species.
This has been the first episode in a long while which showed the 13th Doctor in all her glory. I actually started liking her just now. The last series were too overcrowded with 3 companions and Jodie just didn't get enough time to shine. But that has changed now and I'm loving it!
The new villains have a very intriguing storyline and quite the menacing presence accompanied with very stylish design. They may be the best original villains introduced in the show since the Silence.
All in all, a pretty solid episode, the best in a long while. Normally it would be more of an 8 than a 9 but I figured the show needs a ratings-boost and it finally deserves it.
