Just another in the string of money grab movies with Bruce Willis. Bruce Willis gets paid to basically show up do a few lines and bow out about mid movie. Does just enough so they can say he is in their movie and use his name to get viewings. Story line itself had potential to be a decent movie, but unfortunately falls short. As it was never anything other than a quick money grab. Even Dominic Purcell only has a few lines and pretty much takes over to fill the gap in the movie after Bruce Willis exits at around movie. Almost like Bruce and Dominic tag teamed this one. As many have already said it's a true disappointment, especially if you are a Willis fan. But that's seems to be how he wants to end his career, by sell out his name, reputation and fans for a few lines in low budget movies for quick cash.
If you are thinking Walker 2021 is a Remake of the Original 1993 Walker, Texas Ranger. You will be incorrect and disappointed. The Only thing these two shows have in common is the Name of the Lead Character (Cordell Walker) and his Occupation (Texas Ranger).
To compare the two shows would be like comparing Apples & Oranges. After all, one is a Drama the other Action.
Now Walker, Texas Ranger 1993 is an Action Fiction. Cordell Walker is job focused, asskicking atypical Chuck Norris Action.
Walker. 2021 is a Drama. Cordell Walker a Texas Ranger dealing with loss and reconnecting with his Estranged Teenage Kids, whom are also dealing with loss. Balancing family life, being a widower, solo father and a Texas Ranger.
If you are a Chuck Norris - Walker, Texas Ranger die-hard fan going into this thinking it is a remake you will be sorely dissappointed. The fact that both shows Lead Character is Cordell Walker, a Texas Ranger. They are two completely different shows.
