I loved the First Season until the two Leads got together and started the foolish chatter between each other. The First Episode was quite good before they hooked up as a Team. Then it seemed to go downhill quite fast. The story lines had a lot of potential. I simply wish they had stayed on track with a serious crime drama instead of introjecting all the comedy between the two main characters which spoiled the whole Series. I am not surprised there is no Season 2. Rash was great, the other guy not so good. I give it a Thumbs Down based upon the foolish chatter which totally destroyed what could have been a good show.
I was so very bored watching this movie I almost left before the end. It is a pathetic attempt to recapture the original Gladiator. Mescal is no Russell Crowe. His acting was bad and who heard of a Gladiator with an Irish Accent. I would suggest this film be totally rewritten with a real storyline and actors who can act. The water scene was not nearly as good as the Peacock Film "We who must due". The latter was more exciting and visually entertaining. If there are any idea of an Academy Award for this, the Directors should forget it. I have been advising all of my friends and acquaintances not to waste monet.
I generally enjoy period pieces and this series seemed to have the hallmark for a good one. However, it is a complex story with several plots each of which are confusing. I liked the idea of challenging the East India Company. However, the fact that George III seems much thinner than he should have been portrayed spoiled the illusion.
The main character is, I assume of mixed race. This doesn't seem to be clear. I was also confused as to which country he was trying to save his land for near Vancouver. I went thru the eight episodes on the Roku Channel but found each one darker and more confusing than the previous.
