This film has a lot of "style" and "substance". Julie is "bold" and "beautiful", but I don't understand what makes the filmmaker claim that she's "blessed". You will enjoy this thriller despite the apparent flaws. Julie 2 is able to balance the story and the swagger. Twists and turns keep the plot gripping. You will not miss the fact that the director's name doesn't appear in opening credit but at the time of interval. And then the second half - where the pace loses steam. Having said that, other departments are good enough to pull the film until the climax. To the savior are a few melodious songs in the second half. The background score is apt. Dialogues are the highlights; some could go down very well as Bollywood dialogue memories.
Raai Laxmi makes an interesting debut in Bollywood. She is effortless and plays her character with ease. She literally pulls the film all by herself. Indeed the South Indian film industry is known for handpicking rare gems. You can definitely consider this for your weekend watch.
