Honestly, this series is just amazing...hits hard as a intelligent thriller and as a comedy...the acting was on point, action was well organised, the directing is excellent and most importanlty - the writing is exceptional. Sure, the first season 1 will always be most impactful as it was the first time this concept was introduced but overall I really enjoyed every episode and the character development is simply perfection - especially Lee Jung-Jae. A must-watch for anyone that likes intelligent thrillers with a twist and a touch of dark comedy thrown in. A+++ on all angles. I hope they don't exceed Season 3 as it would be a shame to drag this on too long only to make it stale like many other shows.
As the title suggests, is it just me or is this the worst follow-up sequel ever made? At least the first one had some storyline and sense to how the "smiling demon" takes hold of its victims and causes them to lose their minds and ultimately get killed but this second movie just has a whole lot of "crazy" and not much reasoning behind why things are happening and who it's happening to - I have to say this movie provides a very graphic inside look of those mentally ill (and I say this with utmost respect) but that's besides it. Naomi Scott did really well in the role but it's not a good movie..
Great to see M Night Shyamalan come back strong. I loved Signs (2002) and of course The Sixth Sense (1999) being MNS's masterpieces but then things somewhat dropped off after Devil (2010) which MNS co-wrote but did not direct so this movie is arguably his best work yet.
The acting was actually very good for the most part - Josh Hartnett did great for his debut bad-guy role and the standout actor is MNS's own daugter Saleka who played Lady Raven (real-life R&B singer), but it got too fictional toward the end which made it less believable. I hope there's a Part II with more realism and action...
