This episode S7:E1 is my favorite or the whole series as the tension built, the brazenness of the plan and the final scene in the squad room. Really had heart, humor and the power of bonds of the team.
Agent Dinozzo's dialogues were so in character and the parade of new applicants showed why Tony's loyalty to a teammate superseded his quest for a pretty face on the team.

As I finish Season 3: Episode 8, I continue to look forward to each episode as I watch on the CW app. Jewel Staite and Victoria Garber deliver each week in character as does everyone in this ensemble cast despite the stereotypical roles. From the family trees of the opening credits to the evolving relationships of the siblings from different mothers, and the cynicism of Abigail through the tragedy of her addiction, the underlying love and connection grows with each week's storyline.
The story of Family Law through the evolving family relationships is a refreshing take and keeps me interested in the story arc. The scene (S3:E8) at the table with Harry's brother and Jude meeting the family was a shared victory so well portrayed. Maybe it reminds us that shared victories are the sweetest of all for every family.
I am glad to see it back for Season 4.

During WWII the Soviet Union had originally been allied with Germany until Western Europe fell, notably France, in May 1940. Eventually Hitler decided to attack the Soviet Union which became their (Germany's) eastern front. After Pearl Harbor (Dec. 7, 1941), the United States entered the war and provided military aid to both Great Britain and the Soviet Union under the Lend-Lease program.
This episode involves a Soviet commander coming to the Pacific theater to review the capabilities of PT boats for use against the Germans and their U-boats in their cold water port (since the Soviets had not yet declared war against Japan in 1943). (So this is not a goof as mentioned below.).
This episode memorializes the uncanny alliance of the U.S. and the USSR (the latter who lost over 2 million soldiers against The Nazis) yet in the post war spent four and a half decades as antagonists during the Cold War.
21st century viewers should understand the irony of the historical context in this episode.
