This movie started out original and strange. Then it became strange and funny. And then it was just slooooow and boring. Not funny anymore, but it made me feel annoyed. I started yawning and leaning against my husband. Then I just fell asleep. I opened my eyes several times and couldn't be intrigued by what I saw. Still strange, slow and boring. This went on for about 45 minutes and when it was still boring, slow and strange when I opened my eyes my husband asked if I wanted to stop watching. This is something I normally don't do. I always want to see the end, but this time I answered: "Yes, please do stop this." And I actually felt relieved. I am sorry, maybe it's just me, there are tons of positive reviews about this movie, but I wouldn't want to watch it even if you offered me money. Glad we watched it on HBO for free ;-)

Without reading anything or having heard of this series I just started watching. This Spanish series is really sweet, funny, well acted and beautifully filmed. The colors and the scenery are beautiful. The theme is just original, with five friends from school, all having shaved their heads because one of them has cancer, going on a vacation. (I am currently at episode 4 and I still don't know who has cancer, but I have grown to like them all so much, that the idea makes me sad already.) They all look so beautiful with their short hair that it made me question how my hair would look if I shaved it.

They have a little box with secret wishes, everyone wrote one. Something they always wanted to do, but never had the nerve to. And this time as a group everyone is going to do it. With the five different characters this creates hilarious situations. This series makes me smile so much, but at the same time it's sweet and vulnerable. I just love it.

A story about faith, positivity, perseverance and following your dreams. About not giving up, family and doing whatever it takes to get ahead. Inspiring. About traditional values and the importance of a strong mother. Without the love of this mother the family would definitely not have stuck together. She was the glue that kept everything and everyone going. With dedication and faith the family Smallbone made it in America. They didn't divorce, they didn't blame one another, they kept going as a family, backed by the local community. Was it God? Was it friendliness? Was it positivity? Or was it all of that? Whatever it was, it sure is an example of how one can act when all falls down. Nice view.
