Marvel's first fam is here! First, I love their little tribute to Jack Kirby in this film.

As Marvel's phase six begins, we go back to the first family. After 2 decades since the first film in 2005 and a decade since the 2015 reboot, Fantastic Four is finally home under MCU. This film takes place in the 60s, in another earth and the team already established. This is not an origin story but a story that starts MCU's phase 6.

The pros

The cons

• Could have been longer

Without saying too much to spoil anything, this film sets a high ba for MCU's future. Probably entering MCU's top 5 films of all time. See it for yourself and while you're at it, watch it in IMAX. It was breathtaking. Left me speechless the whole film.

Fantastic Four First Steps is a solid 9.5/10 for me. Yep that high. Another great for 2025!

With the new DC franchise, James Gunn starts it with his take on the Man of Steel himself. This film is not just for current fans or fans from the start, it also speaks to everyone. This is the Superman film that we might not have asked but it is definitely what we needed. This does not just focus on the superhero genre. It's a roller-coaster action packed yet it has the emotion and heart of a superhero story. It does not just showed Superman that he is invincible. It also showed his weaknesses, yet he still shows that he is a man of hope.

The film also did not waste other characters. Lois Lane, Jimmy Olsen, the Justice Gang played important parts. Hoult's performance was Lex Luthor was insane! The Fortress of Solitude was also not sidelined. And there's Krypto! Man Krypto definitely stole the show! Brosnahan's Lois Lane was really well executed and Corenswet as Clark Kent / Superman was really amazing!

The film also had its surprises but overall, it is very well made. James Gunn, you outdid yourself again this time! Thank you for bringing this to life. Probably the best film this year so far! A definite worth the watch!

It's been 3 years since the last Jurassic film was released and now we have another! This film is a mix of a mission and a trip that lead to survival. It showed how dinos are truly predators and are truly dangerous and not some pets. Only gripe (without mentioning spoilers) is the fact that it could have had more dino action but overall it was good. The character side actually made sense with a group going to the island for a mission while a civilian group just getting to a normal vacation was attacked by spinos and a mososaur. That Rex scene on the raft takes the cake but sadly the raptors were seemingly absent in this film. The score was amazing as they played the original theme couple of times playing homage to John Williams! Was kind of distracted to Scarlett Johansson too but if they could have made this scarier, it would have been loads better.

All because of a snicker bar.
