Let me start off with saying that I am beyond sick of the whole superhero schtick. Batman this, Iron Man that, oooh, Thor! No thanks. So naturally, anything with the Marvel logo slapped onto it I've steered clear off, with the exception of Moon Knight, solely because I really like Oscar Isaac.
So when I've had several friends and other outlets recommend Agents of SHIELD, I've just brushed it off with the attitude of "meh, a show centered around the normal people who babysit super heroes? Pass!"
Oh, how wrong I was. I ended up with some spare time, and with a newly developed celebrity crush in Chloe Bennet I've been making my way through the seasons for the past month or so, and had an absolute blast with it. I've laughed, I've cried, and I've been absolutely hooked. The fact that the super hero aspect of Marvel didn't really take center stage sure helped a lot, I think.
All in all, this is an easy recommend from someone who lost interest with the usual Marvel stuff long ago. The main cast is great, and their chemistry is definitely both believable and the biggest reason the show worked.
