This was disgusting and I mean that with adoration. The effects were amazing. The music was phenomenal. I would say maybe it could have been a little shorter as it dragged a bit, but it was a lot of fun and I enjoyed hearing people's reactions to the gore. Also the filmmakers are so sweet and kind, it's no wonder half the village of Barboursville was involved. To quote Jeff, "dude hell yeah"
this is like the 80s action movies where the male director self-casts as the protagonist wearing a black tank top beating people up, except for women who post unironic biker skeleton memes on their instagram story.
While the setup can keep an attention span engaged for the first half of the film, it is the latter half where the script rides off the rails with improbable plot devices like poisons, antidotes, and polygraph-triggered lock boxes. Like many fictional serial killers, the maniac of "Shame the Devil" has a diabolical plan so ludicrous that even the detective and the profiler cannot pinpoint if he is killing violators of the Ten Commandments, men with the first names of Jesus' apostles, or following some other whacked out methodology entirely. Looking back on it when all is revealed, you realize that it is the most ridiculously overcomplicated scheme ever devised to accomplish what the objective ultimately is.
I cannot believe this movie exists. Will Collazo's Bloody Nun 2 is a feature film that wastes your time from start to finish. The acting is awful and the sound design... actually I don't think there was one. I felt like this was more of a cheap excuse to film some dirty movies in some creepy uncle's house.
