I generally give a lot of leeway for movies in the Found Footage Film genre. I've only rated a few with 1 star. This one deserves 0. It was so bad that I had a hard time getting through it. The acting was beyond bad and the "costumes" were pathetic. Why bother making a movie if you can't be bothered to out any effort into it at all? The only thing good about this movie was the promotion for it, which was the most misleading promotion since TBWP. Seriously, do not waste your money renting or buying this movie. Amazon should be ashamed for offering such poor quality junk.

I rated the movie 3/10 because it wasn't all bad, but wasn't good, beyond making me laugh. I don't know if the filmmakers meant for it to be a Comedy, but it made me laugh many times throughout the movie. The acting is just about as bad as it gets, which added to the hilariousness of many scenes in the film. They really should have sold it as a Comedy Horror, it probably would do better.

Now for the negative part of the review.

The effects were so awful that I laughed even harder. The wardrobe was very unfitting for the characters. Brand new clothes on characters who supposedly lived in the forest. And the costume meant to look real looked about as good as one meant to look fake. There are times that having a low budget means it is better not to show anything at all and just allude to it- this was a time that would have been better.

The story is interesting and the script isn't bad. The main hidden cameras, that are shown in the trailer so I dont consider mentioning them a spoiler, are mostly clever- but would still be noticed by anyone not walking around with their eyes permanently stuck to their phone. The main actress does a good job when speaking / acting like a journalist in the beginning, that was also in the trailer, but the rest of the time her acting is as bad as most everyone else's- all of whose acting is so bad that it almost ruined the movie for me completely. The good points, that I had already mentioned, were the sole reasons I gave a 2 star rating. I would only recommend this movie to die-hard fans of the Found Footage Film genre who simply want to watch it for the hidden camera shots and to add another title watched to their lists. Though, there are very questionable scenes that are shot by the "hidden cameras" but are showing what the character sees. I hate when filmmakers do things like that in the Found Footage Film genre because it absolutely kills the "Could this be real" feel of the movie- which for me is the point of the genre.
