Jason Bateman was doing things back in the day that you could easily describe as absolute pulp , but then he hit a great seam of material , and I mean great . Which ultimately lead to Ozark ( with the mind blowing The Outsider in between ) .
This is clearly a backward step, enhanced by the overrated Law. His only memorable celluloid moment was as the hitman in Road To Perdition.
This stinks , on many levels.

It's clearly the end of two stellar careers and it was not before time . The love of these two gentlemen ( actor and director ) will never diminish , but there comes a time when , enough is enough . This industry is outraged by the threat of AI and this director uses that threat and CGI to produce a Denzel Washington I hardly recognise. I so get the intent , but you diminish the quality of direction and the acting quality in a heartbeat ?
Don't know what else to say , other than disappointed.

How many times have we been here ? How many movies , how many series ( and now this has two ) ? Taylor Kitsch is becoming the new Arnie schwarzenegger , he's the same character in every version of this well worn genre .
Lone Survivor and 13 Hours were ( or should have been ) the clarion call for this Gung Ho Bro' nonsense.
