I'm late to the party with this one, but with every episode I fell in love with it even more.
Lily Tomlin has always been a fantastic comedic actress, but Jane Fonda is an absolute revelation! Not only is she outrageously stunning still, she has great comic timing. The pairing of them both is absolute genius-I have had MANY laugh out loud moments. At least 1 or 2 per episode. Brianna is another hilarious character. She's witty, funny, feisty... the whole writing of each character is absolute top notch.
Honestly, I could wax lyrical about this show all day, I LOVE it! It's incredibly refreshing to have a series with older women as the main characters, this just doesn't happen enough.

In a word. Awful.
This film was clearly made for Gen Z/Gen Alpha, by a director trying to fit in with the younger crowd.
I made it 45 minutes before I almost ripped my own ears off. It was painful, nonsensical, tacky, cheap, "cringe af" (oh look at that, 45 mins of this and I CAN speak gen z after all) The acting was GCSE drama level bad, the characters were completely undeveloped cliché types...... The premise "could" work if it wasn't aimed at a specific generation, if the director had any discernible directing talent, if the characters were fleshed out, if it didn't rely on social media references for 85% of its script, if it had halfway decent writers, if it employed actors who can act (quite important in the world of acting I believe).. Honestly, I'm the wrong side of 40, I don't have enough years left to state all the things wrong and all the things that need improving, so I'll just leave it at that. But don't take my word for it, this is just my opinion, by all means waste precious minutes of your own lives.

Honestly, 10 minutes in I was all ready to skip to the next episode-before I did I thought I'd check the reviews first to see what the episode was actually about because not only was I not enjoying it, I also couldn't work out what was going on.
I'm glad I did! I read one review in particular where the reviewer felt the same as me, ready to skip, but they gave it a chance and ended up being glad they did.
Now I probably should have prefaced this with saying how much I HATE Star Trek, which is one of the reasons I was going to skip-but if you give it 15-20 mins the Star Trek feel fades away and you get caught up in the actual story.
Seriously, just get through the first 15-20 mins (it might feel like a hard slog but I promise the story will come together)
