I gave up 15 minutes in E03.
I've read the Books, I can recite every sentence in every film, LOTR&The Hobbit.
The acting is bad and the Characters are vanilla and the writing isn't comparable to the previously mentioned Movie scripts. Corny and feels like watching a Kid Series.
It isn't all bad though. I really like the set and the CGI work. The landscape and the cities are really amazing! I also liked the Dwarves and all their scenes, characters and set. Im also torn between liking or feeling neutral about Elrond, I love the Character (in the OGs) and I like the Actor playing him - if I decide to give the show a second chance, it will be because of curiosity about Elrond, the dwarves and wanting to see more of Middle Earth (and will update my review).
If they had invested as much on the script, storyline and characters, as they did on costumes, CGI, set ect. It would've been amazing!

As a big fan of the book and the first movie, I am very disappointed. The movie is too long. The CGI monsters weren't scary at all and the scenes were silly. The ending was also very bad. All just a big overkill.
Pros: Good casting and a few good jokes and jump scares.

As a big fan of comedy (my favorites Ricky Gervais and Louis Ck.) I didn't find this funny at all and stopped watching 30 minutes in. There's something about Jack that I find really annoying and I don't find him genuine in his stories.
