Definitely The Wire wibes and Hill Street Blues but very cleverly developed and inbedded. Even the Intro is interesting (and has Bruce Springsteen Philadelphia wibes).
Still the overall atmosphere is very much Sweden (at least as I see from next door Finland).
Character Jesse (Per Lasson) is my top 3 favorite in any drama: just amazing acting with funny and wise pauses in all expressions.

Nothing cheap in this. Interesting levels of experience that feel natural and naturally related to each other. Even the minor supporting characters are interesting like in Succession season 3 and The Wire seasons 1-4.
So many things in this film really work. Character setting and development. Rhythm mixing very personal events and more general scenes. Acting is natural yet subtle and true and soul nourishing (apart some very minor parts). Real issues and real emotions! Story telling using lots of indirect and insightful metaphors. Often funny, often tragic. I have seen it now thrice and will watch it again many times over the years.
