I subscribed to Angel to watch this series. It's so many soap opera side stories. I thought it would be post apocalyptic series, but it's just one over emotional story one after another. Like soap opera. That, and the soundtrack is SO oppressive. Over and over, that soundtrack! The trailer for this series was very deceptive. I don't recommend.
As an artist myself, i have experienced the using of artists, sometimes free work, just the artist hoping to get noticed. I did it myself for quite a time. Then the galleries charging 40, 50% commission just to show your work. Even with sales, the artist gets barely enough for time and talent. The arists in this documentary were used and preyed upon, having to rely on food stamps to feed their families. Shameful. As per the art in the Lisa Frank enterprise, it's shlock. No doubt the artists were just cranking it out for a paycheck. Much talent comprised.
I had to stop watching midway through yesterday, finished watching today. I had no idea of the horror, and i suspect most people far removed from that terror still have no idea of the atrocities and evil committed on October 7. Heartbreaking and incomprehensible. The images are truly hard to watch, and the film shows the amount of time and desperate confusion the survivors experienced. The aftermath at the end ...the film doesn't hold back. Hard to watch, but everyone should see it.
