Ugh...this one is SO bad I couldn't even bear to watch it all. I skipped the middle, which I'm sure was the usual Lifetime movie slog of overly dramatic jump scare music and non-events. The "teenagers" (son & his girlfriend) looked like they are at least in their 30's. At first, before I realized she was supposed to be a student, I thought, "Why is that anorexic teacher hitting on him? "
The acting was uniformly bad. No one had an ounce of charisma. The wife's brother was the best of the lot. But he was as dumb as everyone else. Why would he let some creepy, obviously unbalanced woman into his truck?
Just completely stupid and a waste of time. I will say I got a laugh out of that ridiculously fake punch when the bad guy hit the boy after getting him to come out of the school cafeteria. The one that he couldn't possibly see into because it had tinted windows and there's a glare on them.
Come on, Lifetime. At least you could've had Vivica aFox pop up to say, "Looks like he was the WRONG uncle. "

Every star deducted was for Lana and for Clark's absolute moronic fixation with her. Where to start? Lana was beyond annoying. She was manipulative, hypocritical, conniving and self-serving. They should have had her move with Aunt Nell and been DONE with that stupid plot. It was really hard to root for Clark when all he could do was simper over her incessantly. It was especially hard when he essentially traded the lives of everyone else he loved for Lana's when she died in that car wreck. Whatever, Clark. Not a "super" decision at all.
Lana belonged with Lex. They were a perfect pair.
So many incredibly stupid plot lines centered around her-that trash about Isobel, her becoming an all knowing, all capable super villain taking in Lex and Lionel, her constantly lying to Clark in later seasons after berating Clark for keeping secrets? And on and on... The only relief came when Lois came in and cut right through all the garbage moony-eyed looks between Clark and Lana.
I gave it 5 stars because Michael Rosenbaum, John Schneider, Annette O'Toole and John Glover gave such great performances. Michael Rosenbaum gave a perfect, layered performance as Lex.
