Is I. J everything the haters say it is ? No..
Is it a mediocre movie then ? No...
It is just bad! Despite having all the trademark scenes and chances all Indiana Jones film has , despite having the trademark Nazi badguys , it fails again and again to break out . Endless action chase sequences building up to no release , bad CGI where no cgi was needed , trying to copy the raiders of the lost arc and turning into a 3 hour yawn extravaganza. The ending as if they ran out of ideas making a worst and further unbelievable ending than the silver skull had. Lady but not least , throwing a repeated theme melody in randomly at full volume without it actually having any place in the scene.
It had all the elements , chaces , Nazis , antiques , but if you can't put it together, you should have just said no.

Sensational performances , amazing backstory and quite simply the most stunning and realistic scifi imagery since inception!
This movie got my attention right from the start and keeps you gripped all the way through. This is not a movie to miss !

I have tried to watch a couple of Russian scifi movies. They all have amazing visual effects , most times better than hollywood productions , but always lack in the acting or are overdramatised for a western audience atleast.
Blackout catches your attention right from the start with excellent spine tinglling supsense within the first few minutes and a VERY very clever and original story. Reall was pleased with the entire backstory !
Visual effects are stunning and some scenes for me are unrivalled towars the end of the movie especially.
Acting is very good and the characters grow on you even though a slight overdramatisation of relations does take place but nothing to ruin the atmosphere of the film.
Hollywood hasn;t put out such a original story and quallity movie since the likes of The arrival in the subgenre of scifi films.
Do yourself a favour and watch this :)
