TREME may not be "easy" for some to watch, but this show and the story of New Orleans deserves our patience and full attention! In fact, both The Wire and Treme should be mandatory high school/university courses. There are so many social and political issues covered in these two shows, not to mention a lesson in humanity. My heart is full and breaks at the same time. The music, cultural richness and diversity is abound. We talk all day long about "diversity", but we want it to look cookie-cutter clean. David Simon's genius creations reflect true diversity and all of the beautiful and hard truths that come along with it. Please do not miss Treme and then do some research on the musicians, Indians, Katrina government response and aftermath while you're at it. New Orleans is a tragic gem and all Americans should pay more attention to the sweat and tears it has shed while offering the richest culture the US has to offer.
