If you are in the mood for a true feel good movie, this is the one. I had never ever heard of any of theses actors in my life but but the performances were exemplary. Together with beautiful photography, totally fitting music and sound design and a fairly gripping story to boot, you can't really fail with this one. Watch it. The film puts you in a space where you can imagine yourself to be, to be in a place of hope and despair at the same time. It brings out some unique emotions and is really worth watching even just for that. Happiness for Beginners is a great film which everyone would get a lot out of, regardless whom you choose to watch it with.

If you feel like one of those fillums where you just want to feel good when it finishes, this is the one for you. I loved this movie, maybe I'm a bit shallow but this blows my skirt up. Fun. Exciting and clever. Nice work, folks. Lub yer Werk. The music is great, photography is brilliant, has some brilliant vintage cars (love the DS). Brilliant performances by Cate Blanchet and Billy Bob Thornton. I could only shake my head in appreciation when it finished. I don't understand why I have to write so much when I see much shorter reviews on the site. Someone please explain, please? Why 620 to get published?..?

It has been a long time since I have seen an artwork so beautifully executed. The performances, the cinematography, the music and atmosphere left me feeling so encouraged about how fantastic this industry is. I wish I could get involved, somehow. At the the end of this film I felt so encouraged and happy o be alive. Credit especially to the two main characters. Just amazing Suff, with great support from the caregiver role. I love this movie, if you want to finish your event feeling warm inside, watch this one. I would give it a ten, but that would be setting a dangerous precedent. Watch this one.
