This is a truly exasperating show. So many whispering conversations, such simplistic character development. I've read the writer wanted to break down cultural and gender stereotypes but instead just about every trope is trotted out. The tough, complex, go-it-alone main female character who breaks all the rules, putting herself and her team in danger. She's a lone wolf, "complex", incisive, abrupt, rude to her colleagues, keeps her team in the dark and would be an absolute nightmare to work with. How this sort of infantile dialogue gets green-lit is a mystery. The acting is so wooden but that's the fault of the clunky plot and basis dialogue. Do yourself a favour and watch something else.
This is truly one of the most lamentable series on Netflix. It's meant to be a psychological thriller about a chap who sees awful things in the future, or does he? The plot is so wafer thin it could have been written by an undergraduate student at a minor film school. The worst thing is the acting - it's so exasperating. Most of the actors whisper through the whole show. Check out the other reviews on IMDb, it's a common complaint. If there was an Academy Award given for whispering, this show would win hands down. The one bright note in this cringeworthy series is the footage of the Spanish Coast - I'm giving it two stars for that alone. Actually, the house in which this awful show takes place is pretty good too. So he is a tip, instead of wasting time watching this rubbish, do yourself a favour and find a documentary about the Spanish coastline. By the end of it you'll be thanking me.
If you want to see a group of men-children this is the show for you. Sure the skate board action scenes are okay but the people - all male - are soooo boring and spend all their time spouting ridiculous gobbledegook laughing at inane comments, especially when an injury occurs. What 's particularly annoying is the self-referential focus of these 20-something year old jocks. These guys seem to find it amusing to trash public spaces by running their skateboards along public handrails, seats, etc thinking nothing about who has paid to build and maintain them. Of course, these guys also don't give a toss about the incredible noise and inconvenience they cause because, hey, they're so freakin' cool only squares wouldn't get it. Of course, these intrepid individualualist free spirits don't think twice about going to a public hospital when they get banged up and, naturally dude, it would way uncool to wear a helmut. Give me strength.
