Like the title says, it's just dumb. The characters are all unintelligent and annoying and somehow, for a lot of people apparently, that's comedic genius.

I rarely see a 1 star review on here that seems fair to me, even when stuff is bad it can be entertaining in a meta way and there's hardly any media out there that is completely without merit but with ATHF, I don't see it. I don't see the point in making this, I don't see the point in watching this, I don't see who this is for or why. All I see is a couple of dumb characters being obnoxious and doing absolutely nothing interesting.

I'd rather someone dangle car keys in front of me for 20 minutes than having to watch this. 1/10.

Maybe it's because I'm white and European but I just don't get what's supposed to be funny about this show. I get the societal commentary part and the animation is pretty decent but people claiming it's 'hilarious' truly baffles me. Perhaps this would've worked better if it were set up more as a drama and more work was put in setting up arcs and giving characters more depth but as it stands it painfully fails as a comedy and lacks substance to be anything else.

It's not that I don't get that this is a parody, but personally I prefer my parodies to be funny. It feels like every joke in this is either 'Johnny Quest but dumb and/or crude', '60s cartoons were silly' or 'niche reference' and none of those are funny to me. If you're into other Adult Swim stuff like Tim & Eric, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, Harvey Birdman, etc. This is probably also for you, but if you, like me, often wonder who in hell would laugh at the 'jokes' in these I'd recommend skipping this one.
