Discovery started out well, but eventually became too "weepy, feely" for my taste. It also became a bit preachy and a little overboard with its socially correctness. It's a bit annoying when every few minutes there has to be an individual spiritual revelation or some kind of "group hug." There's also a lot of teenager-fueled fanfiction vibe to many of the episodes. With that said, the storylines are pretty good, and definitely could have been much better developed with a better, non-weepy cast and writers. The angle with Agent Daniels, in particular, could have developed to a much greater extent.
