  • Never thought fighter jets could be boring.

Stealth is a high octane film featuring big stars(Jamie Foxx, fresh off his Oscar win; Jessica Biel) and a slew of fighter jets and technology and yet the film is barely remembered. Why? It is so because one of the cardinal rules of movie making is you musn't bore the audience and this film, despite all the factors is boring. Overlong, disjointed, and rarely compelling, Stealth has the capacity to put viewers into a catatonic state. But it's probably too much to hope that the film will slip into and out of multiplexes without anyone noticing. Stealth proves that the script- a 120 page document is far more important than any expensive investment for a film. Having said that, you can give this a one time watch.

  • If you like climbing films, watch this.

Critics didn't get this film back in the day. The critics didn't understand that this was a send-up of spy movies, Clint-style. Vonneta McGee steals the film as Jemima Brown. Jack Cassidy is marvelous as a flagrantly gay agent. Thayer David is absolutely inspired as Eastwood's macabre boss, and all the minor characters play like James Bond supervillains on Bizarro-world. And, stoic Clint plays off all of them magnificently at every opportunity. Meanwhile, George Kennedy is perfect, playing straight man for all the bizarre characters all around him. This is as hysterical a spy farce as I have ever seen. This was a good movie. It was a little far-fetched, but despite that the climbing scenes were very good and Eastwood was his typical self. The plot is also not bad. Overall this was a good Eastwood movie and for those who fans of Eastwood and climbing movies.

  • The TRUE superhero movie).

Tim Burton's Batman has a special place in my heart. Long before the deluge of superhero films, his was a special release- a Batman movie. Starring Michael Keaton- who was not approved by anyone back when they decided to cast him as Batman and Bruce Wayne and Jack Nicholson as the joker this is a very good movie. Surely not on the technical level of the later Nolan films nor the thematic complexities that one associates with all superhero films, but this one had heart, an excellent pace and fantastic visuals. Tim Burton's Gotham reeks of atmosphere. If you are deciding to go on a superhero binge it is a great time to go watch this Batman from 1989. Make your own judgement but I feel you'll be pleasantly surprised.
