What?!
Wait 1 minute!
Naomi Watts' character is meant to be a creative writing teacher and she can't even get this simple quote that anyone with an IQ above room temperature knows is "savage breast" not "savage beast"!
As for the film it's Beethoven (the stupid kids dog film not the composer) for the dinner party New York Times set, the types who quote Beckett despite never having read anything other than the odd quote here and there and who like their films soundtracked with lots of tedious Norah Jones soundalikes.
I wanted to like this because I enjoyed the directors splendid little film What Maise Knew a few years back.
But I hated it. Obviously/

So the problem in Britain re the knife crime epidemic is white kids with good Dads? Right? Wrong. The completely out of control situation with knife crime in the UK is caused almost entirely by black teenagers in inner city areas who have no strong male role models in their lives and thus have no discipline and no self control. There's no Dad at home usually and there are no male teachers in the schools. So they fall prey to the worst influences and commit terrible crimes, not only taking lives but destroying their own.
The programme massively exagerates the influence of the likes of Andrew Tate. C'mon - some dumb influencer saying that gurlz is smelly does not cause teenagers to stab people to death. Tate is a chinless pillock for sure - but his whole playbook is exploiting girls for sex and profit. Repulsive, yes - but that is a very long way from inspiring boys to kill people.
This show, although well acted and well made, is simply shying away from the real problem. It's gaslighting, plain and simple.
