I find it hilarious that people criticize it for having "illogical" moments. Really? You're telling me that if Boy Kavalier wasn't basically Elon Musk, he'd act any differently? What, he'd just be ranting on X about how pathetic Yutani's ship is, saying they're sending kids to save the day because even a child could pilot better, and how their AI is a complete idiot? And the kids - if they were TikTokers - would be livestreaming themselves while getting eaten by the Alien. Add in some politician making absolutely nonsensical decisions, and then we'd have a truly realistic script.
I think I've been watching Doctor Who since 1963, and this is the first time I've put on an episode as background noise without paying attention. It's the most predictable episode of Doctor Who I've ever seen. From the beginning, when they mention the earrings and battle mode, you already know what's going to happen. In fact, I have the feeling that I've seen this episode before, and it seems like a copy of another one. Either that, or somehow I knew what was going to happen at every moment. It saddens me to realize that the original Doctor Who character no longer exists and now feels like the AliExpress version. Everything falls short. Some episodes are a bit better, but as I watch more, I feel the essence has been lost and now it's like a copy of the original. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that the actors do a great job, which is great because the script is very bad, or rather, it's just a cut-and-paste of old, very predictable scripts and simply something to have in the background.
The first story is great. I give it a 10. It's horror with a touch of comedy as we real Creepshow fans love it so much. With a clever touch in reference to our monsters.
However the second story is the worst Creepshow story I've seen in a long time. A 1. Everything in the story is nonsense. The characters act silly all the time and it's totally predictable.
I give it an 8 overall, because the first story lasts longer and luckily.
I still have 167 characters left to finish the review, I don't know why they force you to write so much, but I'll just repeat myself and that's it. First story great, second story terrible.
