I quite enjoyed this movie. The storyline was rather unique compared to other movies of this genre that we've seen from Hollywood.
I felt the mom and her son had depth in terms of their characters, and that their chemistry was solid. And can I just say - the kid who played Elias is one good actor.
Overall, 8 out of 10 for me.

I read this carried a USD60m budget. I don't understand how movies this expensive and this bad (I mean really, really bad) can continue to get greenlit. You'd think with that kind of money they could have afforded a much better story.
Now that said this movie did live maybe live up to its title - people hunting monsters (or agrually it didn't coz it felt like it was monsters hunting people).
Regardsless do yourself a favor and skip this movie. The graphics were so-so and everything else from the story to the acting and everything else in between were so-so-so bad.

I became a fan of the show after the pilot episode. However the longer the show ran, the more it seemed to drag on. The storylines were a mess, scriptwriting was terrible, and keifer looked like he was just going through the motions. I stopped watching after episode 10 of season 2.
Enter season 3. With an army of new writers and all, I felt I wanted to give this show another shot.
Episode 1 didn't disappoint. The script was solid, the actors looked like they had more chemistry, and the lines weren't cheap - there was meat, humor and a lot of wit.
Thank you for a solid first episode. Will watch the rest soon.
