First two seasons are quite good describing an alternate history and reality. Still, it would have been so much more chilling and thought provoking if the Nazi (and Japanese) suppression had been a bit more subtle. Now it is too cliché and stereotyped to be believable. Here was a a very big missed opportunity in the storytelling. Then seasons 3 and 4 are really derailing into the woke and hbtq stuff for no good reason for the overall storytelling. Also the concept with a portal traveling to other worlds was not really exploited enough. Now it left more questions and confusion rather than clarity for the story line. So, first two seasons executed quite well and watchable. Last seasons really just wasting time watching. After having spent time watching all 40 episodes I felt cheated in the end. There are so many other better alternatives out there to spend your precious time on.
Wow. Absolutely top. A flawless production. Probably best series I have seen the last year. At first I was a bit hesitant to watch, but after reading reviews, and it is just 6 episodes, I decided to go for it. And I am very happy I did. An intense psychological drama and connections between the two main characters. You are constantly kept on the edge, since there are so many subtleties, unpredictability and atmosphere. Even more captivating since it is based an a real case. I had to binge the whole series in one sittning. And it is very seldom I do that. Do yourself a favour and watch this, you Will be very rewarded.
Excellent créme drama Kate Winselet is doning a terrific role as an inspector in a wore-down gritty small town. All characters are great and the storyline very captivating, realistic and unpredictable. One of the best shows 2021. Well done!
