There are a lot of streaming service options out there. Each year they are getting better and better to the point where I didn't see Netflix as having much of an edge anymore. Not until I started watching Netflix original content. I'm shook. I've never watched Bollywood short of a scene or two I glanced in passing but this movie has me HUNTING for more. What a feel-good yet emotional movie. Loved it, want more from these actors and actresses. If this is the content Netflix has to offer, they'll never lose me. (By the way, where can I buy this soundtrack!?)
I'm tired of remakes. They aren't needed and rarely do they ever do the original justice. That being said, this was amazing. And I don't mean amazing because of the cgi, but amazing in the heart and story-telling. They went hard and it went well. Now, there are some dark moments, but I'd say no darker than the trauma done to us by "The Never-Ending Story." So in that regard, it's well done and I'm so, SO glad I watched this. This has become an instant classic. If only Disney had the guts to do serious yet endearing stories such as these.
Justice for .... (you know who). They did that character wrong, though. *lone tear*

I'll be honest, I loved this series up until the last five minutes of the final episode and that says a lot. It had a good pace going, it had a good premise, and then it left me saying, "Wait, wut?" That being said, I will give credit to the cast for pulling this story off. And despite the last 5 minutes, I am still looking forward to another season. I didn't quite care for the Sanctum shifters but by the very end I could. The premise is nice, the pace is good, the events unfolding, sans the super natural, was very realistic. While this first season was a slow burn, I really hope they throw the gauntlet down in season 2 and start taking some chances. Go in full force and keep at it. Fingers crossed for a season 2.
