  • The son vs The Father

I can see other reviews have focused on the chess game without really watching the episode, it's been well established at this point that frasier is a phoney when it comes to many things such as Art, Dating, Decor and in this episode Chess, he knows the terminology but is consistently beaten by his father, this is later explained in the episode that Fraisers subconscious isnt allowing him to topple his father, he's also focusing so much on his individual moves that would win the game quickly and not focused on the end game, but more importantly, maybe frasier just doesn't know the game as well as he pretends to! The armchair chess pros on here have reviewed the episode based on this alone, notice there aren't many real therapists judging the show based on his ability to successfully treat anyone? All that said the episode is a good one, the only thing they didn't do was give Frasier a chance to grow, they could have made it so Frasier is humbled at the game and learns to deal with it, but the writers caved, frasier wins in the end and the father who didn't want to play to begin with, ends up being tortured for it. This point in the show was getting frustrating because Niles is single and loves Daphne but the writers needed to drag it out, had they got them together sooner, the show would have had alot more to work with and we'd never have had to suffer through the whole Donnie & Mell nonsense. Overall a good episode, the pompous chess experts ironically missed the point it was making.

  • Generic mess

I didn't want to watch this, I've always been against supporting reboots/remakes because I'm not a drone, that said my daughter wanted to see it so that's how I ended up seeing this. The "movie" is a mess, you can see where they hard to redo scenes, it's chopped up. The cgi is as generic as every other film out now, the singing is ok but that's to be expected with the technology they have now to enhance vocals etc. I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it yet but my advice would be to avoid it. My daughter didn't like it and she's always loved princess shows/movies/theatre. This movie is just more proof that there is no quality control in Hollyweird anymore, its about quantity. Save your money and wait until it's on streaming, at least then you can turn it off without wasting your money. Bad acting, bad cgi, bad production, just all bad.

  • Generic

What a snore fest this was! The visuals are fantastic but that's the standard of today's cinema, the plot is boring, the characters weren't interesting, Feels like a spinoff!

The franchise made a mistake when they killed off Ceaser, this movie should have been the last one with it coming full circle to what the original was but instead I'm sure hollyweird will squeeze another 10 more out of this before rebooting it again.

There doesn't seem to be any consistency or continuity with each movie, they've jumped so far ahead now and it just feels like they've done it so they can get away from the the original material. You just know the next will be "empire of apes" anyway I'm rambling because I found this one frustrating, it felt lazy and unloved, it had no soul like the previous movies. Very generic.
